500 words – Black Lives Matter
This term the AASA English Department ran our very own 500 Words – Black Lives Matter Creative Writing competition. We asked all students to write and share a story using their voice and creativity. We were amazed by the range of ideas and talent presented to us in the submissions we received. To make sure the English Department could judge the winners fairly, we asked members of the Pastoral Team to help decide our who would take out first place. It was a tough decision, but they agreed it was a tie between Jenny Van (Y9) and Rayyan Dillion (Y10). We loved the opportunity to hear from all year groups and the quality of submissions was at a very high level. Well done to all those that entered. We hope you enjoy reading these as much as we did.
